The Guild is always looking for new members. The Guild is a collection of like minded artisans who have joined together for the benefit of promoting art from the Waterways to the general public and provide help and encouragement to each other.
The disciplines that members possess are wide and varied and are not only limited to Oil Paintings and Watercolours, but extend outside this sphere into Photography, Model Making, Computer Art and even Ships in Bottles. The one theme that runs through all of these diverse art types is that they are all related to the Waterways, that’s it!
So if you practise any art form and it’s not included above then a quick call to Sarah our Membership Sec and she will assist you in finding out if you are eligible or not for membership.
If you wish to join you will receive a warm welcome, so firstly just tell us a little about yourself, how your interest in waterways came about, what branch of art you like practise and a maybe few email photos of your work would be a great help.
Sarah will then e-mail you with all the information you need to complete your membership.
We encourage all members to attend at least one Guild exhibition each year (normally free of charge), lets face it it’s difficult enough to make a living in the present economic climate so any opportunity to find outlets to sell works has to be a bonus.
At present there is a small membership fee of £15 to cover our collective administration costs but we are presently exploring new ways of making the Guild self funding.
